What is Neutralization?
Neutralization is the process of making an acid neutral. Sometimes this involves bases and alkalis, other times it doesn't.
There are 4 main formulas regarding neutralization:
Acid + Base = Salt + Water
Acid + Alkali = Salt + Water
Acid + Metal = Salt + Hydrogen Gas
Acid + Carbonate = Salt + Water + CO2
